We have been given the floating floor on top of the Marconi building at Anglia ruskin university. This is actually quite a nice area because it is long and straight which works well for a gallery as the viewers can walk down the gallery with no turns or misleading corridors to follow. The only problems i can see are if we want to use lighting and projectors because of the amount of windows and light which come through the area. We will have to think about this when coming up with ideas for the theme, but im sure it can be overcome with some good old common sense.
Hi Matthew,
ReplyDeleteI found your idea of the history of animation characters quite interesting. Now, your job is to find a way to translate it properly in order to make your concept clear. I would start with the NAME of it, by having this starting point then you can move to the stage of finding elements to translate your topic. I really hope you spoke with your team about this concept, I think it is an interesting approach to animation (that so many people in your class have work on).
Be sure to upload images and observations of your visit to the exhibitions you told me but, also, be sure of selecting some of these images in order to present them for next week (if you check your timetable you'll see you're expected to make a brief presentation of 5 minutes, about your visit). Just save some JPGS (a powerpoint presentation is not neccessary) and talk us through your experience.
See you next week,
Mariana.
